We had a very relaxing 4th of July this year, probably because festivities were split up over 3 days. Saturday we took in a baseball game, Sunday we grilled, and Monday I trudged down to Iwo Jima to watch the fireworks and get some pics. The fireworks pics didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. It was my first time, I tried too many long and multiple exposures, and the cable release I ordered didn't function so I was holding the shutter open manually. A few of them were interesting nonetheless, but I'm sure I'll do much better next year.
